Anna is a licensed speech-language pathologist, certified lactation counselor, professional educator, and doctoral candidate. Anna's private practice in Los Angeles, CA focuses on providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to infants and children with feeding, swallowing, and orofacial myofunctional difficulties and disorders. Julie Matheney

Feeding babies has been Julie Matheney’s passion since she was 10-years-old. Almost 20 years ago she pursued a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology to work with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In working in that setting, she realized she wanted a more intimate approach to helping families reach their feeding goals. She became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and now works full time in private practice teaching, educating, and supporting families and professionals on all things feeding.

Dr. David Bradley

DVM, FASLMS


Dr. Bradley graduated from UF in 1987. Dr. Bradley began using lasers in private practice in 1999. Shortly thereafter, he began training and education in laser physics and tissue interaction. He is a well-respected laser consultant and is a Fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. He has authored numerous articles and chapters on both laser therapy and surgery. Dr. Bradley has lectured nationally and internationally on medical laser use.

Dr. Carissa Stanton

Dr. Stanton is a holistic pediatrician from Kansas City. She has a diverse training in nutrition, integrative medicine, and attended Dr. Pinto's Infant Frenectomy Protocol course in 2022. She has her own direct pediatric care practice, Mindful Pediatrics. Additionally, she partnered with a lactation consultant and occupational therapist to open a multidisciplinary mother/infant wellness collaborative called KC Well Nest. She also helps families with wellness coaching through her business The Empowering Doctor.

Dr. Peter Virtuk

Dr. Peter Vitruk has held a Research Scientist position with The Academy of Sciences in the former USSR, a Royal Society Visiting Research Fellow position at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, a Senior Scientist position with Synrad Inc. in Seattle, WA, and then a Chief Scientist position with Luxar/ESC/Lumenis also in Seattle.

In 2002, Dr. Vitruk co-founded the LuxarCare-VetScalpel-LightScalpel group of companies - the only American-based designer and manufacturer of surgical CO2 lasers for the small office outpatient market. In 2017, he founded the American Laser Study Club, an educational platform that helps physicians, dentists, veterinarians, and practice staff members to excel at the efficient and safe application of laser energy in everyday practice. Dr. Vitruk has authored 10 patents and over 20 articles on CO2 lasers and is a Member of The Institute of Physics, UK.

Dr. Lauren Brim

Lauren Brim, PhD, is the founder of Bodywork for Babies, and has been specializing with newborns, infants and children in her wellness practice for over a decade. Her journey with mind-body medicine began while she was injured dancing with the Radio City Rockettes, which led her into a decade of study from shiatsu massage and craniosacral therapies, to ultimately, a doctorate in human sexuality. Her hands-on, mind-body approach to addressing restriction and breastfeeding issues in babies is extremely effective and she is sought out as a specialist in this field by families all over Los Angeles. Her passion for helping babies and their families is second only to her passion as a mother to her three beautiful children, all born at home, and her greatest teachers in this field.

Dr. Rebecca Toga

Dr. Rebecca Toga is a licensed pediatric Physical Therapist and owner of Tangerine Physical Therapy. Rebecca earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California and also received her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of San Francisco. She is very passionate about working with infants and children to improve both a child’s and family’s quality of life. Rebecca understands the impact of body positioning, motor control, and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to therapeutic treatment and applies it to her practice daily.

Dr. Staci Whitman is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and founder of NoPo Kids Dentistry in North Portland, OR where she takes a whole-body, holistic, and functional approach with her patients. She is an Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Provider (IFMCP), and has her dual Board Certification in Integrative Biological Dental Medicine (IBDM) and as a Naturopathic Physician (NMD). She is also a Certified International Health and Wellness Coach (CIHC) and will begin her Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. Her dentistry and practice philosophy is grounded by science and powered by love.

Brittany Cheng

Brittany is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist specializing in infant and toddler feeding and is certified as a Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) provider. As she frequently supports breastfeeding dyads, she is also currently pursuing certification as a lactation consultant. Her business, Wayz To Play, Inc., serves families throughout Orange County and supports parents as they navigate challenges associated with feeding, development, tethered oral tissues, pre and post-frenectomy care, and more. Brittany is married to her supportive husband, Simon, and together they have two beautifully wild children, Cooper and Rylan, ages 1.5 and 3.5 years old.

Abby has created a busy private practice as a licensed midwife in Los Angeles that supports the whole body - mind, body, and spirit - and values the uniqueness of each client she has the honor of supporting. Abby recognizes that within each woman rests the innate ability and intuition to make the best decisions for her and her baby and encourages each of her clients to recognize those abilities through informed decision making. Chase's primary role at LightScalpel is to work with doctors early in the process of adapting to a new surgical tool.
